One of our annual tasks is identifying the Giant eland calves in Senegalese reserves. But what does such work actually involve?
Finding the elands in dense bush, recognising individual animals, determining which calf is nursing and from which mother, and taking photographs of both sides of their bodies for identification. It's certainly not an easy job.
We're now entering our 24th season of this work – and you can join us! Support the identification of eland calves by purchasing a gift certificate and gain the chance to name one of the newly born calves!
The entire value of the certificate goes to the Antelope Conservation public collection (the contribution is 100% of the certificate price). Therefore, we sell the certificates without VAT.
